With the popularity of snowboarding in the neighbouring Spain and France it is no surprise that snowboarding is big in Andorra. Another pursuit that Andorra is well known for is après ski.
The most popular of the snowboard resorts are Soldeu, Pas de la Casa and Arinsal. The resorts are of a decent height to ensure reliable snow and offer the visitor the added attraction of duty free living and shopping. Best accessed from either Toulouse or Barcelona airport the snowboard holiday resorts are popular with the British, Spanish and French.
The snowboarding in general would tend to favour the snowboarder who is new to or still learning the sport, but as in any mountain landscape, advanced terrain can usually be found.
